Oyo South Di Odidi To Set Up Structures Across 9 Local Governments For Mass Mobilization of Intending Voters For APM Candidate, Hon. Dhikirulahi Adedeji Olajide

A new mass mobilization movement, Oyo South Di Odidi, has concluded plans to set up its structures across the nine local government areas that make up Oyo South Senatorial District.

The movement is canvassing support for the APM candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Honourable Dhikirulahi Adedeji Olajide, popularly known as Odidi-Omo.

In a statement by its planning committee in Ibadan, the group said it will be putting in place LGA coordinators, ward coordinators and polling unit canvassers across Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-East, Ibadan South-West, Ido, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East and Ibarapa North.

The committee disclosed that the strength of the movement lies in its hybrid membership.

According to the statement, the movement shall deliberately incorporate non-partisan citizens who are not active politicians but love Odidi-Omo.

It listed them as market men and women (Oloja), artisans, Okada riders, NURTW members, students, youths and graduates associations, religious leaders, Community Development Associations (CDA), professionals, traders, farmers in Ibarapa Zone, women groups and widows who are beneficiaries of his Alaanu outreach.

It clarified that these non-political members will not be involved in party affairs, but will serve as community canvassers, voter mobilizers and goodwill ambassadors in their various communities.

The group noted that Oyo South has over 1.5 million voters, but less than 15 percent are active party members, stressing that elections are won by the 85 percent non-political voters.

It added that Oyo South Di Odidi will capture a large part of that 85 percent for Hon. Olajide.

The movement said dates for its official inauguration and LGA tour will be announced soon.
