APM Presidential Candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde Meet North Central Candidates In Lafia Ahead Of APM Town Hall Meeting

In a major show of unity and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Sunday met with all candidates of the party from the North Central zone.

The high-level consultative meeting was held in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, ahead of the much-anticipated North Central Town Hall meeting of the APM.

The meeting brought together the top hierarchy of the party, including the Vice Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Lawal Musa Daura, members of the National Working Committee, zonal leaders, state chairmen, candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly, as well as other critical stakeholders.

According to information gathered, the meeting was convened to foster cohesion among party candidates, strengthen the APM's organizational structure across the North Central geopolitical zone, and fine-tune strategies for effective grassroots mobilization ahead of the general elections.

Addressing the candidates, the APM Presidential Candidate reiterated his commitment to building a united, inclusive and people-driven movement capable of rescuing Nigeria and repositioning it for sustainable growth. He charged the North Central candidates to remain focused, united and committed to the ideals of the party.

On his part, Governor Seyi Makinde, whose presence added political weight to the meeting, commended the APM leadership for its proactive engagement with candidates across zones. He emphasized the need for collaboration, strategic planning and issue-based campaigning that speaks directly to the needs of Nigerians.

Governor Makinde noted that the North Central zone remains a critical bloc in Nigeria's political equation and expressed confidence in the capacity of APM candidates in the region to deliver victory for the party in 2027.

The Vice Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Lawal Musa Daura, also spoke at the meeting, urging candidates to intensify consultations within their constituencies and to carry the message of hope and renewal that APM represents.

Stakeholders at the meeting described the Lafia convergence as timely and strategic, noting that it has further energized the party's base in the North Central and set the tone for a robust Town Hall engagement.


The North Central Town Hall meeting, scheduled to hold in Lafia, is expected to attract party leaders, supporters and members of the general public from Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Town Hall will serve as a platform for the party to unveil its agenda for the North Central zone, listen to the concerns of the people and outline its blueprint for national transformation.
