The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo ("OMUYES"), has felicitated with his political leader, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi ("Arole"), on his appointment as Executive Assistant, Sports Commission, by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE.

In a statement issued from his office, Hon. Akintayo described Adewusi as a political leader and mentor whose guidance has shaped his own journey in public service, noting that the appointment reflects the confidence reposed in Adewusi by the state government in view of his experience as a two-time former Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government and former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council.

He noted that Adewusi's background in local government administration and sports management positions him well to contribute meaningfully to the growth of sports in Oyo State, and expressed confidence that he would bring the same diligence that defined his years as council chairman to his new state assignment.

The Council Boss commended Governor Makinde for continuing to draw on experienced hands from within the local government system for state assignments, describing it as beneficial to governance and continuity.

He further stated that Adewusi's elevation was a source of pride not just to him personally but to the entire political family within Ibadan North East Local Government, whom he described as having been nurtured under Adewusi's leadership over the years.

Hon. Akintayo wished his political leader a successful tenure and assured him of his continued loyalty and support as he settles into his new responsibilities.
