2027 POLL: HON. IBRAHIM AKINTAYO "O MU YES" HOSTS HON. BIMBO ADEKANMBI AS APM ENGAGES LG STAFF, NUT TEACHERS AND ALASALATUL MOVEMENT IN IBADAN NORTH-EAST
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government and Director General of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council in the local government, Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo, hosted the party’s Oyo State Governorship Candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, in a series of stakeholder engagements across the local government.
The engagements formed part of ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening grassroots interaction and seeking support for all APM candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adekanmbi, accompanied by Akintayo and other party stakeholders, first engaged members of staff at the Ibadan North-East Local Government Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan, where discussions focused on governance, workers and community development.
The APM team also met with teachers under the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), comprising both primary and secondary school teachers within the local government. The interaction provided an opportunity for the party’s campaign team to interface directly with educators and present its political agenda while soliciting their support.
The delegation later proceeded to Yidi, Gate, Ibadan, where they engaged members of the Alasalatul Movement as part of the wider grassroots mobilisation and consultation programme.
During the engagements, the campaign team called for support for all APM candidates contesting various elective positions, including the party’s presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi.
The series of meetings brought together local government workers, primary and secondary school teachers under the NUT, religious stakeholders and community members, reflecting the campaign council’s focus on direct engagement with different segments of the Ibadan North-East community.
Hon. Akintayo, in his capacity as Director General of the APM Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council in Ibadan North-East, continues to coordinate the party’s grassroots engagements as the 2027 elections approach.
