IBNE/SE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY 2027: IBADAN NORTH EAST SPEAKS FOR EQUITY, ROTATION AND FAIR REPRESENTATION AS STAKEHOLDERS RALLY BEHIND EXCEL AND THE NDC FOR A NEW ERA OF INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

To the good people of Ibadan North East Local Government, the issue before us today is not one of division but of fairness. It is a call for equity and balanced representation in the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency.

A constituency made up of two Local Government Areas is strongest when both feel seen, heard and fairly included in how its leadership is shared over time.
By the account of many stakeholders, the history of representation in our Federal Constituency shows that both Local Government Areas have had opportunities to serve at different times.

That shared history is the foundation of this conversation. It reminds us that leadership in our constituency has never belonged to one side alone, and that the principle of give-and-take has long been part of how our communities relate to one another.
As we approach the 2027 General Elections, Ibadan North East deserves an open and constructive conversation about rotation, inclusion, competence and the interest of all communities.

Rotation is not an attack on anyone. It is a widely recognised way of building trust, easing tension and giving every part of a constituency a sense of ownership. Our people are asking for a process that is open and respectful, where every voice is welcome and no community is left on the margins.
But fairness alone does not make a good representative.

Competence, character and commitment to service must walk alongside equity. The people of this constituency need someone who understands their daily struggles, from road infrastructure and youth empowerment to support for market women, artisans, traders and students. They need a representative who is accessible, accountable and ready to carry their concerns to the National Assembly with courage and clarity.

Let us therefore come together, examine the facts, listen to our people, and support a process that promotes fairness and effective representation. Let the elders, youths, women, religious leaders, traditional institutions and community associations all contribute to this discussion. Our culture teaches that when many hands work together, the load becomes light. In that spirit, we must reason together and move forward as one constituency.

Ibadan North East is ready. Ibadan North East is speaking. The time for a new conversation is now. This is a moment for our people to stand up for balance and for a future where representation reflects the shared interest of everyone. Let us do so with peace, dignity and unity, because that is the way of Ibadan people.

It is in this spirit that many of our people say, Excel is OK for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency! NDC is the Party! Our dear Constituents, let's walk OBEDIENTLY to EXCEL
