Building Discipline Before Competition: One-Day Seminar for Players and Teams
As part of preparations for the upcoming Hon. Babalola Abiodun, PhD. Integrity Football Competition, scheduled to commence in the middle of this month, a one-day seminar on fouls, misconduct and sportsmanship will be organised for participating players and teams.
The seminar, organised through the Grassroots Development Unit, Ibadan North East Chapter, is designed to educate players, coaches and team officials on the importance of discipline, fair play, respect for match officials and proper conduct throughout the competition.
Participants will be enlightened on different forms of fouls and misconduct, the consequences of indiscipline on the field of play, and the importance of respecting the rules of the game. The programme will also promote teamwork, sportsmanship, peaceful competition and mutual respect among all participating teams.
The initiative reflects the commitment of Hon. Babalola Abiodun PhD Integrity to using football not only as a means of discovering and nurturing grassroots talents, but also as a platform for character building, unity and community development.
The competition promises to be more than just football. It will be an opportunity to discover young talents, encourage healthy competition and strengthen the bond among communities across Ibadan North East.
