As preparations for the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election continue, the ambition of Hon. Abiola Abdulrazaq Akinloye to represent Ibadan North-East Constituency 02 provides an opportunity to examine the kind of representation communities expect from their elected lawmakers.
Akinloye’s public engagements have increasingly been built around a simple principle: representation should remain connected to the people. His approach places considerable emphasis on grassroots interaction, listening to communities and responding to issues identified by residents.
One example that has featured prominently in his recent engagements is the intervention at Idioro Community, Oke Adu, where two solar street lights were delivered following a pledge he reportedly made during a community meeting.
