Wishing Every Christian a Blessed Service — Rejoice in the Lord: Happy First Sunday of August to All Christians" — Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo (OMUYES)

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as "OMUYES," has felicitated with Christian faithful across the local government and the entire Oyo State as they celebrate the first Sunday of August 2026.

In a goodwill message issued today, the council boss urged Christians to rejoice in the Lord as they gather in their various places of worship to give thanks to God for His faithfulness throughout the month of July and to seek His blessings as a new month begins.
"On this First Sunday of August, I join all Christian faithful in Ibadan North East and across Oyo State in rejoicing in the Lord. May your worship today be blessed, and may God, in His infinite mercy, grant you and your families a month filled with divine favour, good health, and abundant breakthroughs," Hon. Akintayo stated.

He commended the immense role of the Christian community in promoting peace, morality, and development within Ibadan North East LGA, describing the church as a vital partner in the collective drive for progress at the grassroots.
"As we rejoice in the Lord today, let us continue to sustain the spirit of unity, love, and cooperation that has always defined our dear local government. I pray that God will continue to guide and protect our leaders, our council, and our great nation," he added.

The Executive Chairman reaffirmed his administration's continued commitment to the welfare of residents of Ibadan North East LGA, assuring that the council under his leadership remains dedicated to delivering purposeful governance and people-oriented development.
He concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful and blessed Sunday service, and prayed that the month of August brings testimonies of God's goodness to every household.
