Olunloyo Hosts Oyo Central PDP Executives in Ibadan, Unveils Senate Agenda on Education, Security, and Employment
IBADAN, OYO STATE – Wednesday, July 15, 2026 — Engr. Ayobami Akinyode Olunloyo, MEng, MBA (Cantab) Distinction, candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, on Wednesday hosted executives from the 11 local governments in Oyo Central at his residence in Ikolaba, Agodi, Ibadan.
The meeting served as a familiarization and strategy session ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The senatorial candidate, son of former Oyo State Governor, the late Chief Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo, PhD, OON (VOSO), presented a legislative agenda focused on lawmaking, effective oversight, and attracting federal projects to Oyo Central.
In his address, Hon. Olunloyo said his priorities would include increased funding for public schools, improved teacher training, expanded access to student loans, support for community policing, and targeted funding for SMEs and skills development through the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry.
“Effective representation is about laws and oversight that deliver tangible results to our people,” he said.
Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Adewusi Adegbola, commended the early engagement with the party structure.
“We appreciate your foresight. This shows you are ready to serve Oyo Central,” he said.
State Treasurer, Prince Adediran, and State Youth Leader, Comrade Adeleke, also lauded the agenda, describing it as people-centered and in line with the party’s manifesto.
“The youth of Oyo Central are ready to key into this vision of education, security, and employment,” Comrade Adeleke stated.
Executives from the 11 local governments in the senatorial district thereafter presented briefs on progress and political developments in their respective areas. They also offered prayers for unity within the party and for victory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of all 11 LG Chairmen, Surulere Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oketola Olanrewaju Adeyi, pledged massive grassroots mobilization.
“Your agenda is timely. The executives across Oyo Central are ready to work for victory in 2027. We pray for God’s wisdom, protection, and success as the campaign season approaches,” he said.
The meeting concluded with a resolution to strengthen party unity and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the polls.
