The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo, fondly called OMUYES, has felicitated with veteran broadcaster, Isaac Brown, on his well-deserved recognition with the 2026 City People Magazine International Awards for Media Excellence, while also celebrating the birthday of his amiable wife.
In a congratulatory message issued by his office, Hon. Akintayo described the award as a fitting tribute to a broadcaster whose voice and professionalism have shaped the airwaves for decades, describing Isaac Brown as a worthy ambassador of the Nigerian media industry whose dedication to truth, integrity, and excellence continues to inspire younger practitioners in the profession.
"On behalf of the government and people of Ibadan North East Local Government, I congratulate Mr. Isaac Brown on this well-deserved international recognition. His decades of consistent, professional, and impactful broadcasting have brought honour not just to himself, but to Ibadan and Oyo State at large.
This award is a validation of hard work, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the ethics of journalism," Hon. Akintayo stated.
The Council Boss equally extended warm birthday felicitations to Isaac Brown's wife, describing her as a woman of grace, virtue, and quiet strength who has been a pillar of support to her husband's illustrious career.
"To his amiable wife, I say happy birthday. May this new year of your life bring you renewed strength, good health, and God's abundant blessings. Your support to your husband's career over the years has not gone unnoticed, and we celebrate you today as much as we celebrate him," he added.
