HON. OLULEYE OGUNBODE "SUGAR" DECLARES INTENT FOR COUNCILORSHIP, WARD 01, IBADAN NORTH EAST LG UNDER APM.

Hon. Abiodun Oluleye Ogunbode, popularly known as "Sugar," has formally declared his interest to aspire for the position of Councilor representing Ward 01, Ibadan North East Local Government, under the platform of the Allied People's Movement (APM). The grassroots politician tendered his letter of intent today, Thursday, July 16, 2026, in a move widely received with enthusiasm within the Ward.

Hon. Ogunbode was led to the Ward Excos meeting by his zonal leader from Zone 01, Mr. Ojo Moruff Rashidi, where he formally presented his aspiration before the Executive Chairman of Ward 01, Hon. Rasheed Adeyemi, and other party stakeholders.
Speaking at the meeting, the Ward Chairman, Hon. Rasheed Adeyemi, commended Hon. Ogunbode for his steadiness and unwavering loyalty to the party over the years.

He further applauded his generosity towards the development of Ward 01 and Ibadan North East Local Government at large, describing him as a worthy son of the soil deserving of the people's support.

Also speaking, the Ward Secretary, Iya Meta, offered prayers for the aspiration, asking that it sees the light of day and comes to fruition for the benefit of the Ward.

Hon. Ogunbode's entourage on the occasion included the former Councilor of Ward 10, Hon. Abbey Oyewusi; the veteran publisher of note, Hon. Ifeoluwa Ogunlola, publisher of Datumite News; and party leader, Soji Aderemi, Hon. Abeeb Olatunji, Aare Opeyemi Omotosho, Publisher Newstouchng among other well-wishers who trooped out to identify with the aspiration.
