Community Appeal Gets Swift Response as Gbonka Olubadan Facilitates Streetlight Project Through Hon. Owolabi

Residents of the Ode Aje Alase to Ode Aje Oloolu community in Ibadan North East Local Government have expressed appreciation following the installation of streetlights in their area through an intervention facilitated by Chief (Barr.) Olumuyiwa Makinde, the Gbonka Olubadan, and implemented by Hon. Olusola Owolabi, the member representing Ibadan North East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The project stemmed from a recent meeting between Gbonka Olubadan and representatives of the Accord "Oyo N Pé O" group, who formally aligned with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). During the engagement, members of the delegation raised concerns about the persistent darkness along the Ode Aje Alase to Ode Aje Oloolu axis and appealed for urgent intervention.

Upon receiving the complaint, Gbonka Olubadan promptly directed Hon. Olusola Owolabi to look into the matter and provide the necessary support. In response, the lawmaker facilitated the installation of streetlights, bringing a long-awaited solution to the affected community.

The intervention has been warmly welcomed by residents, many of whom described it as a timely response to a challenge that had affected security, visibility, and movement within the area, especially during nighttime.

Community members commended both Gbonka Olubadan and Hon. Olusola Owolabi for their responsiveness and commitment to grassroots development. They noted that the swift action demonstrated the importance of leaders who not only listen to the concerns of the people but also take practical steps to address them.
