Makinde Unveils 2027 Agenda: Overhaul National Security, Reform NNPCL, Tackle Food Security, Scale Oyo Transport Model

Governor Seyi Makinde, Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, has declared that Nigeria must be reset through courage, accountability, and genuine passion for the country.

Speaking on his agenda for 2027, Governor Makinde said the safety of Nigerians will no longer be reduced to a political talking point, stressing that his administration will deliver practical reforms to overhaul the national security architecture.

“Nigeria must be reset. This will require courage, accountability, and passion for Nigeria,” Makinde stated. “Reform of the national security architecture is non-negotiable. The safety of Nigeria will not be a political talking point under my watch. We will deliver practical reforms.”

The APM flagbearer insisted that Nigeria must begin to benefit fully as an oil producing nation. He pledged a comprehensive reform of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, to ensure transparency, efficiency, and value for Nigerians.

“NNPCL will be reformed. We have the dream and we will take the necessary decisions,” he said.

On infrastructure, Makinde said his government will expand the transportation model already tested in Oyo State, scaling it nationwide to ease movement of goods and people, cut costs, and drive economic growth.

The governor also listed food security as a top priority, promising to tackle it through agro-logistics and modern storage systems that reduce post-harvest losses and stabilize prices.

“I will address food security head-on. We will fix agro-logistics and storage. Our farmers must prosper and our people must eat,” he declared.

Governor Makinde maintained that his blueprint is built on results, not rhetoric, citing his record in Oyo State as proof of what purposeful leadership can deliver.

The APM candidate called on Nigerians to embrace the vision to reset the country, saying the 2027 election is a chance to choose competence, courage, and accountability.
