In a press release made available to pressmen in Ibadan, Oyo State, today, Sunday, April 19, 2025, the member representing Ibadan North East Constituency 01 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Babalola PhD — widely revered as "Mr. Integrity" — has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, and to the esteemed party leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North East Local Government, for the privilege of being entrusted with the party's second term ticket.


The momentous occasion took place on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Local Government Staff Training Centre within the Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan, where, in a resounding demonstration of confidence in his legislative record, His Excellency Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde formally announced Hon. Abiodun Babalola PhD as the consensus candidate for Ibadan North East Constituency 01 ahead of the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.


Speaking with deep humility and characteristic grace, the distinguished lawmaker and former Administrator/Political Head of Ibadan East Developmental Area seized the occasion to renew his covenant with his constituents, assuring them that his second term would usher in even greater dividends of democracy. He charged them to remain confident and expectant, pledging that their trust and loyalty would be met with commensurate commitment, representation, and accelerated development.


Hon. Babalola PhD equally offered fervent prayers for the continued success and prosperity of the Engr. Seyi Makinde-led administration, calling on all members and stakeholders of Oyo PDP to remain united, cohesive, and resolute in their collective march toward victory in the 2027 General Elections.

He expressed his resolute conviction that a united Oyo PDP would seamlessly deliver a resounding transition from the ongoing Omituntun 2.0 agenda to an even more impactful Omituntun 3.0, ensuring the sustained transformation of Oyo State for the benefit of all its citizens.
