“Loyalty Beyond Convenience: A Tribute to Principled Leadership and Followership” By Comrade Yinus Adedokun.

In the ever-dynamic landscape of politics, where allegiances are often tested and realigned, it has become necessary to respond to the growing wave of appeals from respected political figures and associates urging my brother and Comr Tijani Afeez Adigun Omoleader, to align with their respective political camps.

Let it be clearly stated that such calls are not coincidental, they are a direct reflection of his well-defined political ideology, his refined disposition, and the admirable consistency he has demonstrated over time. His approach to politics, rooted in interpersonal engagement, discipline, and strategic sagacity, has undoubtedly set him apart in today’s political landscape.

However, it is equally important to reaffirm a fundamental truth: loyalty remains the bedrock of enduring political relationships. In a personal discussion we once had, Comrade Adigun passionately recounted the impactful leadership of his mentor and leader, a former Majority Leader Rt. Hon Mulikat Akande, whose tenure as a member of the House of Representatives for Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency was marked by remarkable strides.

Her legacy speaks volumes, ranging from youth employment initiatives and human capital development to strategic empowerment programs, infrastructural projects, and effective legislative oversight. According to him, such a leader who has selflessly served her people and uplifted countless lives deserves nothing short of unwavering and absolute loyalty.

In his own words, clear and unequivocal, Rt. Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola is not just his leader, she embodies his political identity and direction. His commitment to her leadership is total, and his resolve is firm,  to stand by her, wherever the political journey leads.

Therefore, to those extending invitations for political alignment, it would be most appropriate and respectful to channel such engagements through his leader. After all, true political structure and discipline are built on respect for hierarchy and established loyalties.

If you are fortunate to have a leader you believe in, and who in turn believes in you, then loyalty should never be negotiable. It is not merely a political choice, it is a moral obligation.
