We Have Lost a Man of Talent and Great Virtue – Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo ‘O MU YES’ Mourns PDP Chieftain, Rufai Abiodun ‘ODUA’
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O MU YES,” has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive member in the local government, Mr. Rufai Abiodun.
In a condolence message released on Thursday, Hon. Akintayo described the late Rufai Abiodun, fondly called “ODUA,” as a man of exceptional talent, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the party and the development of Ibadan North East Local Government.
According to the chairman, the deceased was a dedicated party stalwart whose contributions to the PDP at the grassroots level were invaluable and impactful. He noted that Rufai Abiodun’s passion for service, loyalty, and ability to unite people across different divides made him a respected figure among party members and the wider community.
“We have indeed lost a man of great talent and virtue. His dedication to the party and his service to humanity will never be forgotten. This is a painful loss not only to the PDP family but to the entire Ibadan North East Local Government,” Hon. Akintayo stated.
He further extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the PDP leadership, and all party faithful in the local government, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Hon. Akintayo also urged party members to uphold the values and legacy left behind by the late ODUA, emphasizing the need for unity and continued commitment to the ideals he stood for.
The passing of Rufai Abiodun has thrown the PDP family in Ibadan North East into mourning, as tributes continue to pour in from political associates, friends, and well-wishers who remember him as a man of honor and service.
