CCII HONOURS 2027 GUBER HOPEFUL, OTUNBA OLUSEYE OPATOKI WITH PRESTIGIOUS INDIGENOUS AWARD, DEDICATES IT TO GOV, SEYI MAKINDE
The Chairman of the Ibadan Week Programme, Mogaji Akere, has presented the Award of Excellence to the 2027 governorship hopeful and PDP Chieftain, His Honour Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, in recognition of his immense contributions to Ibadan and Oyo State at large.
The prestigious award, conferred under the auspices of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), was presented at a ceremony that brought together distinguished personalities and stakeholders committed to the celebration of excellence and service to Ibadanland.
The occasion served as a powerful testament to the enduring values of dedication, integrity, and community development.
Otunba Opatoki was honoured alongside two other eminent recipients — His Royal Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA 1, and Ambassador Florence Ajimobi — all of whom were recognised for their outstanding and far-reaching contributions to the growth and development of Ibadan and Oyo State at large.
Receiving the honour with deep appreciation, Otunba Opatoki dedicated the award to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, describing the recognition as a collective achievement that reflects the governor's visionary leadership and the enabling environment he continues to provide for progress and prosperity across the state.
The PDP Chieftain used the occasion to offer fervent prayers for the continued success of Governor Makinde, calling on God to grant him victory, good health, and prosperity now and forever, a sentiment that resonated warmly with all those gathered at the ceremony.
The conferment of this prestigious indigenous award further consolidates Otunba Opatoki's growing stature as a prominent voice in Oyo State politics and a committed stakeholder in the socio-cultural advancement of Ibadanland, as he continues to position himself ahead of the much-anticipated 2027 governorship race.
