Akintayo Hosts Ibadan North East Ramadan Lecture, Bags TAMPAN Grand Patron Honour

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O MU YES,” has hosted the Ibadan North East Local Government Ramadan Lecture while also attending the Ramadan Lecture organized by the Ibadan North East Chapter of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

Speaking during the local government Ramadan lecture held in Ibadan, Hon. Akintayo expressed appreciation to the councillors of the local government for their steadfast support toward the success of his administration. He specifically commended the Leader of the House, Hon. Abdulmajeed Adekola Igbalajobi, alongside other political functionaries, for their dedication and cooperation in moving the local government forward.

The chairman also extended his gratitude to the career officers of the local government for their continuous support and professionalism, noting that their commitment has contributed significantly to the smooth running of the administration.

Hon. Akintayo further lauded the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for giving him the opportunity and confidence to serve as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government.

He used the occasion to call on residents to promote religious tolerance and unity, pointing out that the coincidence of the Muslim fasting period of Ramadan and the Christian observance of Lent beginning on the same day this year carries a strong message for humanity.

According to him, the development serves as a reminder that people of different faiths ultimately worship the same God and should therefore live together in peace and mutual respect.

At the Ramadan lecture organized by TAMPAN in Ibadan North East Local Government, the chairman encouraged members of the association to use their creative talents and works in the theatre and film industry to positively influence society and contribute to national development.

In recognition of his support and commitment to the creative industry, Hon. Akintayo was honoured and officially appointed as the Grand Patron of TAMPAN, with an award plaque presented to him during the event.

The council chairman also expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for His mercy and grace over the people and leadership of the local government.

The Ramadan lectures were attended by political leaders, community stakeholders, religious leaders, members of TAMPAN, and residents of the local government, who all commended the initiative aimed at promoting unity, spirituality, and community development.
