Alhaji Isiaka Abuye, the PDP Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, on Wednesday, 11th February 2026, officially commissioned the reconstructed borehole project facilitated by Hon. (Dr.) Abiodun Babalola, popularly known as “Mr. Integrity,” at Ile-Aperin, Ward 04, Ibadan North East Local Government Area.

The project is expected to serve several communities within the area, providing a reliable and sustainable source of clean water.

The borehole initiative stands as a testament to Hon. Babalola’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents. The intervention forms part of his broader efforts to address water scarcity and enhance living standards across the constituency.

The commissioning ceremony attracted notable dignitaries, including Hon. Igbalajobi, Speaker and Leader of the Legislative Arm of Ibadan North East Local Government, other honourable legislators, Supervising Councillors, Special Advisers, Ward Party Chairmen, local executives, and party faithful.

In his remarks, Party Chairman Alhaji Fatokun commended Hon. Babalola’s outstanding performance in public office. He praised his impactful tenure as Sole Administrator/Caretaker of Ibadan East Development Area and wished him continued success in his political journey.

“Hon. Babalola has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, and dedication to public service,” Alhaji Fatokun stated.

Community leaders and residents also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the project, noting its positive impact on their daily lives. The reconstructed borehole is expected to significantly improve access to potable water, thereby promoting better health and sanitation within the community.
