Otunba Oluseye Opatoki Felicitates Oba Rasheed Ladoja on Confirmation As The 44th Olubadan Of Ibadanland

Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, a respected chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his official confirmation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a personally signed congratulatory message, Otunba Opatoki described the confirmation of Oba Ladoja by Governor Seyi Makinde, following the unanimous decision of the Olubadan-in-Council, as a historic and joyous moment for the people of Ibadanland. He noted that the enthronement of Oba Ladoja is a divine fulfillment of destiny and a reaffirmation of the sanctity of Ibadan’s unique and cherished traditional system.

Otunba Opatoki praised Governor Makinde for his timely approval of Oba Ladoja’s nomination, commending him for always prioritizing the unity, peace, and progress of Ibadanland.

Speaking further, he extolled the rare qualities and towering profile of the Olubadan-designate, highlighting his accomplishments as a distinguished statesman and leader. “Oba Rasidi Ladoja remains a true son of Ibadan who has paid his dues—rising through the ranks of the traditional hierarchy, serving as a Senator, governing Oyo State as a former Governor, and excelling as a successful businessman. His ascension to the Olubadan stool is not only well-deserved but also symbolic of Ibadan’s greatness,” he said.

Otunba Opatoki called on all Ibadan sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, as well as residents of the ancient city, to rally round the new Olubadan to ensure a smooth coronation and a prosperous reign.

He prayed for God’s divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for Oba Ladoja, expressing confidence that his reign would usher in unprecedented peace, progress, and development for Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
