One of the leading aspirants for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket in the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON on his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate.

Hon. Bibire, a former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, described the consensus arrangement as a remarkable testament to the unity and maturity within the PDP — made possible by the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.

“I warmly congratulate my brother, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, on his emergence as our consensus candidate.
This is not just a personal victory for him, but a collective win for every member of the PDP family who believes in unity, sacrifice, and the greater good of our dear constituency,” Bibire stated.

He commended Governor Makinde for once again demonstrating his capacity to lead with fairness, equity, and vision.

“The governor’s intervention brought about peace, harmony, and collective progress.
His leadership continues to inspire confidence, loyalty, and alignment among party members,” he added.

“As one of the aspirants who humbly stepped down in the spirit of party unity, I assure His Excellency and our great party of my total commitment to the success of this project.
The PDP remains my home, and I will continue to work for its growth and electoral victories.”

He also called on all party faithful in Ibadan North to close ranks and work together to ensure a resounding victory for the PDP.

The consensus agreement — reached by seven aspirants including Hon. Bibire, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, Hon. Waheed Biro, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, Hon. Kamorudeen Oladimeji, and Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami — marks a new chapter of unity, loyalty, and strategic cooperation within the PDP in Ibadan North.
