GGI Honours Ibadan North East LG Boss, Hon. Akintayo 'O Mu Yes' for Exemplary Leadership
The Association of Good Governance Initiative, Oyo State (GGI), has conferred an award of recognition on the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo, popularly known as 'O Mu Yes', for his outstanding and exemplary leadership in public service.
The prestigious award was presented during a colourful event held in Ibadan, where GGI commended Hon. Akintayo’s commitment to transparent governance, infrastructural development, and grassroots empowerment since assuming office.
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of GGI, Comrade Adebayo Oluwadamilare, described Hon. Akintayo as a beacon of responsible leadership and an exemplary figure whose administration has positively impacted lives across the local government.
"Hon. Akintayo has demonstrated that leadership is about service and vision. From community health upgrades to road rehabilitation and youth empowerment initiatives, his achievements speak volumes," Comrade Adebayo stated.
In his response, Hon. Akintayo expressed gratitude to the Association for the honour, dedicating the award to the people of Ibadan North East and His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering support and visionary governance in Oyo State.
"This recognition is not just for me but for every resident who believes in our dream of development. I remain committed to delivering people-centered governance," he said.
Dignitaries, youth leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders graced the event, praising Hon. Akintayo for his humility, accessibility, and results-driven leadership.
