OYO EAST: LETTER OF APOLOGY FOR NON-CONSULTATION ON THE SECRETARIAT RENOVATION INITIATIVE
Dear Sir,
I write this letter with the utmost respect and a deep sense of responsibility to sincerely apologize for the lack of formal consultation with your esteemed office regarding the recently circulated information on the renovation of the Council Secretariat and the accompanying community fundraising efforts.
As you may be aware, the initiative was a well-intentioned, staff-driven, and community-supported project, conceived out of our collective desire to uplift the image of the Oyo East Local Government Secretariat and give it a facelift that reflects the pride and heritage of the good people of Oyo.
However, in our eagerness to commence the project — and in the spirit of self-help — we unintentionally failed to formally inform, brief, or seek your kind approval and guidance before proceeding with the fundraising and implementation stages.
Please be assured, Sir, that this omission was not deliberate, nor was it an act of disrespect or disregard for your office. It was simply an oversight, driven by our passion and urgency to contribute meaningfully to the development of our local government.
We deeply regret any embarrassment, misunderstanding, or unintended political interpretations that this may have caused you personally, or your highly respected office.
Going forward, I humbly pledge that all such initiatives — regardless of how well-intentioned — will follow due process and proper administrative protocol. Your esteemed office will be fully carried along at every stage.
Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for this lapse in procedure.
We remain loyal to your leadership and are fully committed to supporting your developmental vision for Oyo East Local Government.
