Wage Supports : Ibadan N/E LG Chairman ,Hon Ibrahim Akintayo Held Meeting With Workers
The Executive chairman of Ibadan North-East local government, Honorable Ibrahim Akintayo has delivered the goodwill messages of H.E Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde to all the staffs in Ibadan North-East local government and her LCDA.
"During this hardship in the nation they were phases of policies in place to cushion the economic effects on workers and others. That's why I'm absolutely glad to tell you that the first citizen of Oyo state, Governor Abiodun Makinde has approved the wage award of N25,000 and N15,000 respectively for workers and pensioners would be paid for the month of October and subsequently for another five months until an agreement is reached on a new minimum wage.
"Also the state had put in place the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) initiative, which comprises interventions through food relief, ease of transportation, empowerment of farmers, agripreneurs and small scale business operators as well as health insurance for residents and pensioners to mitigate the effects of the economic hardship on residents of the state. Noted that the wage award is meant to make things go well for workers, and it's necessary to increase our IGR in our local government to sustain this policy " the council boss, Honorable Ibrahim Akintayo concluded.
Leader of the legislative arms of Ibadan North-East local government, Honorable Taofeek Alakia promised the workers that more benefits were still in pipeline for them .
Distinguish honourable councilor from Ward 8, Hon Ayatul urged the workers to always pray for their leader's to succeed .
Mrs Kemi, one of the staff appreciated the good gesture of the Governor and pray for successful tenure for all political elected and appointees in Oyo state .
