The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo (OMUYES), yesterday, Wednesday, 26th August 2026, played host to the Governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, during an inspection tour of Araromi Market.

The visit afforded Hon. Akintayo the opportunity to showcase to his guest a number of developmental projects executed by the council within the market, most notably the newly constructed terminal bus station, which boasts modern shops and state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance commercial activities and improve the welfare of traders and commuters within the area.

Speaking during the tour, Hon. Akintayo expressed pride in the transformation of Araromi Market, noting that the projects were part of his administration's deliberate commitment to grassroots development and the economic upliftment of residents within Ibadan North East LGA.

Hon. Adekanmbi, on his part, commended the initiative, describing the projects as commendable evidence of purposeful leadership at the local government level.
The tour was attended by council officials, market leaders, and residents who trooped out to witness the exchange between the two leaders.
