A NEW DAWN FOR NIGERIA AND OYO STATE: ÀGBÁJỌWÓ MOVEMENT CELEBRATES APM CANDIDATES, HAILS MAKINDE'S PRESIDENTIAL EMERGENCE, AND COMMENDS PARTY LEADERSHIP

The Coordinator of ÀGBÁJỌWÓ MOVEMENT, Ibadan South East Local Government Chapter, Hon. Adedoja Afees Adekunle Ekolo, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all candidates of the Allied Peoples' Movement (APM) who emerged as the party's standard-bearers for various elective offices ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Speaking on behalf of members and supporters of the movement, Hon. Ekolo described the outcome of the party's nomination process as a victory for democracy, merit, inclusiveness, and the collective aspiration of Nigerians for visionary and purposeful leadership.

According to him, the emergence of distinguished and accomplished candidates across various positions demonstrates the readiness of the Allied Peoples' Movement to provide credible alternatives and transformative leadership capable of addressing the socio-economic and developmental challenges facing the nation.

Hon. Ekolo particularly congratulated His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples' Movement, describing the development as a strategic and historic step towards building a stronger, more united, and prosperous Nigeria.

He noted that Governor Makinde's remarkable achievements in governance, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, economic growth, and institutional reforms have earned him national recognition and positioned him as a leader with the capacity and experience required to lead Nigeria into a new era of progress and shared prosperity.

"Governor Seyi Makinde's emergence is a reflection of the growing confidence Nigerians have in visionary leadership, integrity, competence, and the capacity to deliver meaningful development. His candidacy represents hope for millions of Nigerians yearning for a government that truly prioritizes the welfare of the people," he stated.

The ÀGBÁJỌWÓ MOVEMENT Coordinator also congratulated Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the APM Governorship Candidate for Oyo State; Rt. Hon. Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide (Odidiomo), Senatorial Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District; Hon. Abass Adekunle Adigun (Agboworin), House of Representatives Candidate for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency; Hon. Modiu Akande Opeyemi Alabamusa, House of Assembly Candidate for Oyo State Constituency I; and Hon. Wasiu Yinka Omikunle, House of Assembly Candidate for Oyo State Constituency II.

He expressed confidence in their ability to provide effective representation, champion the interests of their constituents, and contribute significantly to the advancement of democratic governance and sustainable development.

Hon. Ekolo further applauded the national, state, local government, and ward leadership of the Allied Peoples' Movement for their commitment to internal democracy, transparency, party unity, and the successful conduct of the selection process.

He emphasized that the maturity displayed by party leaders, stakeholders, aspirants, and delegates throughout the exercise has further strengthened the credibility of the party and reinforced public confidence in its leadership structure.

"As a movement committed to grassroots development, good governance, and the promotion of democratic values, we commend the leadership of our great party for providing a level playing field and ensuring that the will of members prevailed throughout the process," he added.

While celebrating the emergence of the party's candidates, Hon. Ekolo also expressed concern over the recent abduction of a teacher and schoolchildren, describing the incident as a painful reminder of the need for intensified efforts to strengthen security across the country.

He called on security agencies to deploy all necessary resources toward securing the immediate and safe release of the victims and urged Nigerians to continue supporting efforts aimed at protecting lives and preserving national peace and stability.

The ÀGBÁJỌWÓ MOVEMENT Coordinator concluded by reaffirming the movement's unwavering commitment to mobilizing grassroots support for all APM candidates while working towards the realization of a Nigeria and Oyo State founded on justice, equity, security, economic prosperity, and inclusive development.

He urged party members, supporters, and the general public to remain united, focused, and committed to the shared vision of building a better future for coming generations.
