Akintayo Presents APM Cassava Symbol to Makinde at PDP-APM Unity Rally
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O Mu Yes,” on Wednesday presented the symbolic cassava logo of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, during the PDP-APM Unity Mega Rally held in Ibadan.
The presentation, which attracted cheers from party faithful and supporters at the rally ground, was described as a strong symbol of political unity, loyalty, and collective commitment toward the continued progress of Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Makinde.
Hon. Akintayo, while presenting the APM cassava symbol to the Governor, reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty and support for Governor Makinde’s administration, noting that the alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) would further strengthen grassroots mobilization and political stability across the state.
The Ibadan North East chairman commended Governor Makinde for his developmental strides, people-oriented policies, and inclusive leadership style which, according to him, have continued to earn the confidence and support of residents across Oyo State.
He stated that the unity rally was not only a political gathering but also a demonstration of solidarity among progressive-minded stakeholders committed to sustaining good governance and delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.
The event witnessed the presence of prominent political leaders, party chieftains, youth groups, women associations, and thousands of supporters who converged to celebrate the growing alliance between the PDP and APM ahead of future political engagements in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde, while acknowledging the gesture, appreciated Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo and party supporters for their dedication, unity, and continued belief in his administration’s vision for sustainable development in Oyo State and beyond.
