The Executive Chairman, Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo (popularly known as O mu Yes) has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithfuls in Ibadan and beyond on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitri marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a release signed by the Council’s Information Officer, Ikeoye Oyetoro, the Chairman, who is also the Aare Akeweje Adinni of Oyo State, congratulated Muslims for the discipline, sacrifice, and devotion exhibited throughout the Ramadan fast. He described Eid-el-Fitr as a moment of celebration, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the teachings of Islam.
Hon. Akintayo specially extended his warm greetings to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, commending his unwavering commitment to good governance, religious harmony, and the overall development of the state.
The Council Boss also conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to Muslim brothers and sisters across Ibadan North-East Local Government, the Chief Imam of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Imam Abdul Fatai Muhammad Awwal, religious leaders, political leaders, the Legislative Council, political functionaries, management and entire staff members, as well as indigenes and residents at home and in the diaspora.
The Chairman noted that the successful completion of Ramadan signifies not just the end of fasting, but the beginning of a renewed spiritual journey anchored on righteousness, self-discipline, compassion and unwavering faith in Allah.
He urged Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of patience, generosity, humility and love cultivated during the holy month.
Hon. Akintayo emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan should continue to reflect in the daily lives of individuals through acts of kindness, peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
The Aare Akeweje Adini also called on the people to remember the less privileged during the festivities by extending hands of fellowship, love, and support, noting that true celebration lies in sharing and caring for one another, especially during this sacred period.
The Chairman prayed that the blessings of Eid-el-Fitr bring peace, joy, abundant blessings, good health, and prosperity to every Muslim household. He also prayed for continued unity, stability, and progress of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
He concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, harmony and the overall well-being of all residents, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
