Akintayo Tours Wards, Redeems ₦250,000 Pledge, Reaffirms PDP Strength in Ibadan North East

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo popularly known as “O MU YES,” has continued his grassroots engagement with party members as he embarked on a tour of several wards within the local government area, redeeming his earlier pledge with financial support.

During the ward tour, Hon. Akintayo visited Ward 1, Ward 5, Ward 6, Ward 10, Ward 11, and Ward 12 where he fulfilled his promise by presenting the sum of ₦250,000 to party structures in the wards. The gesture, according to the chairman, is part of his commitment to strengthening party activities and supporting members at the grassroots.

Addressing party faithful during the visits, the chairman reassured members that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) remains strong and vibrant across the local government. He emphasized that unity, loyalty, and dedication among party members would further consolidate the party’s dominance in the area.

Hon. Akintayo also commended the developmental strides of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, noting that the governor has continued to perform tremendously through impactful policies and projects that are positively transforming the state.

He therefore urged party members across the wards to remain loyal and committed to the PDP while continuing to mobilize support for the party at all levels.

The council chairman further disclosed that the remaining wards in the local government will be visited next week as part of the ongoing ward-to-ward tour aimed at strengthening party unity and maintaining close interaction with grassroots members.

Party leaders and members across the visited wards expressed appreciation to the chairman for fulfilling his pledge and for maintaining strong engagement with the grassroots. They also reaffirmed their continued support for both Hon. Akintayo’s leadership and the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
