United in Faith and Fasting: A Message for Ramadan And Lent from *Hon. MUSA Abidemi Kamorudeen.
As the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent begin, I Hon. Musa Abidemi Kamorudeen, who is aspiring for the post of House of Assembly at Oyo State House Of Assembly in 2027 extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to every family across our Constituency, Ibadan South West Constituency 2 and Oyo State at Large.
The holy month of Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and generosity. It calls our Muslim brothers and sisters to renew their faith, strengthen their discipline, and extend compassion to those in need. Through sacrifice and devotion, Ramadan reminds us of the power of patience, humility, and gratitude.
At the same time, the season of Lent invites our Christian community into a period of prayer, fasting, and spiritual renewal. It is a journey of self-examination, repentance, and deeper love — a reminder that through sacrifice comes growth, and through reflection comes transformation.
Though observed in different ways, both sacred seasons share powerful values: faith, self-discipline, charity, forgiveness, and unity. They remind us that we are strongest when we care for one another, uplift the vulnerable, and work together in peace and harmony.
As your hopeful representative in Ibadan South West LG constituency 2 come 2027, I am inspired by the spirit of devotion and generosity that defines our Constituency. May this period strengthen our bonds as neighbours, deepen our understanding across faiths, and renew our shared commitment to building a community rooted in respect, compassion, and hope.
