OUTSTANDING AWARD: Ibadan North East LG Boss Honored with Excellence Award for Prudent Financial Management

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as OMUYES, received a prestigious Award of Excellence yesterday, Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, at a ceremony organized by the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Oyo State Chapter.


The event, which took place at the Oyo State Secretariat, brought together distinguished professionals, government officials, and stakeholders in the accounting and financial management sector.
Dr. Samuel Olaloye, Chairman of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, presented the award to Hon. Akintayo, commending him for his exemplary leadership and prudent management of public resources.


Dr. Olaloye praised the Executive Chairman's commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in the administration of Ibadan North East Local Government.
In his remarks, 

Dr. Olaloye highlighted how Hon. Akintayo's financial stewardship has set a benchmark for other local government administrators in Oyo State. He noted that the Executive Chairman's approach to budgeting, revenue generation, and expenditure management reflects best practices in public sector accounting and governance.


The award recognizes Hon. Akintayo's dedication to ensuring that public funds are utilized efficiently for the development of Ibadan North East Local Government and the welfare of its residents. His administration has been noted for implementing projects and programs that have direct impact on the lives of the people while maintaining fiscal discipline.

Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria for the recognition.
