The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, popularly known as “O MU YES,” has carried out an extensive inspection of ongoing projects across major locations within the local government area, as part of efforts to ensure timely delivery and quality execution of developmental initiatives.

The inspection tour covered key areas including Bashorun Market, Gate, Araromi Market (Iso Part), Oritaperin, and Ogundipe Market, where several infrastructural projects are currently underway.

During the visit, the chairman assessed the level of work done at each site and engaged project engineers and contractors. He directed all engineers to intensify efforts and hasten the pace of work, stressing that quality must not be compromised. Hon. Akintayo noted that the projects are critical to improving market infrastructure, enhancing environmental orderliness, and boosting commercial activities within Ibadan North East.

While addressing market women and men at the various sites, the council boss reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of traders and the fulfillment of all promises made to them. He assured stakeholders that the projects would be completed promptly to provide a safer and more conducive business environment.

Accompanying the chairman on the inspection were members of the Ibadan North East Legislative Council led by Hon. Abdulmajeed Adekola Igbalajobi, Leader of the House, alongside Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers (SAs), and career officers of the local government.

The market leaders and traders expressed appreciation for the chairman’s proactive leadership and the inclusive approach of his administration, describing the inspection as a clear demonstration of commitment to grassroots development.

The inspection exercise further highlights Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo’s resolve to promote accountability, accelerate project completion, and drive sustainable development across Ibadan North East Local Government.
