Prominent Ibadan Chief, Mogaji Moruff Abiodun Amusa, has joined other party stakeholders in congratulating Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun (Abuye) on his emergence as the consensus Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North East Local Government, alongside other newly elected executives, at the party congress held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Council Secretariat, Iwo Road, Ibadan.
In his goodwill message, Oloye Amusa described Abuye’s emergence as a product of collective wisdom and consensus-building, which he noted has always been the strength of the PDP family. He further commended the peaceful conduct of the congress, emphasizing that it demonstrated the party’s unity and maturity in leadership.
He expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership and his consistent efforts in ensuring stability within the PDP across Oyo State.
Mogaji Amusa also extended his regards to the leaders, elders, and faithful members of the PDP in Ibadan North East, urging them to continue supporting the newly elected executives.
He charged the new leadership to embrace transparency, teamwork, and grassroots mobilization in order to further strengthen the party.
“The responsibility before the new executives is clear: to consolidate the PDP’s dominance in Ibadan North East and to remain united in service to the people. With dedication, cooperation, and loyalty to the party’s ideals, victory will always be assured,” Oloye Amusa stated.
The congress has been widely hailed as a success, reaffirming the PDP’s preparedness to maintain its political strength in the local government and beyond.
