Royal Birthday Tribute: Ibadan North East LG Boss, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, Celebrates Olubadan at 90
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, fondly known as “O mu Yes,” has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Hon. Akintayo described the monarch’s reign as one marked by peace, wisdom, and remarkable progress. He lauded the Olubadan as a unifying figure and a custodian of Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage whose leadership has brought stability and cohesion to the ancient city.
> “Kabiyesi has continued to lead with grace, calm, and dignity. His 90th birthday is not just a celebration of age but a celebration of an enduring legacy—of peace, development, and deep cultural pride,” Hon. Akintayo stated.
The council chairman also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the traditional values of Ibadan through sustained collaboration with the Olubadan-in-Council and other key stakeholders. According to him, under Oba Olakulehin’s reign, Ibadan has remained united, proud, and rooted in its identity.
Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, who ascended the throne in 2024 as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, is widely revered for his calm disposition, wealth of experience, and steadfast dedication to the protection of Ibadan's customs and values.
Hon. Akintayo concluded his tribute by praying for continued good health, strength, and divine wisdom for the monarch as he steers the affairs of Ibadanland with distinction and fatherly guidance.
