Mogaji Ile Bada, Mogaji Olasupo Ibrahim Ademola, Celebrates Olubadan of Ibadanland at 90

The Mogaji of Bada Family, Oke Offa Atipe, Ibadan, Mogaji Olasupo Ibrahim Ademola, has joined the entire Ibadanland in celebrating the 90th birthday of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Mogaji Olasupo described the monarch’s nonagenarian milestone as a divine blessing and a moment of pride for all true sons and daughters of Ibadan. He praised the Olubadan’s reign as a symbol of continuity, cultural preservation, and purposeful leadership.

> “Reaching the age of 90 is a rare grace, and to still be on the throne with such calm strength and deep wisdom is nothing short of divine. Kabiyesi’s life and leadership continue to inspire unity, discipline, and pride in our cultural identity,” Mogaji Olasupo said.

The respected family head noted that the Olubadan institution remains one of the most revered in Yoruba history, not just because of its ancient roots, but because of the caliber of men it produces—men like Oba Olakulehin, whose humility, experience, and fatherly presence have brought immense peace to the land.

Mogaji Olasupo also reaffirmed the commitment of the Bada Family and other Ibadan lineages to uphold the values of loyalty to the throne and support for the continued progress of the city. He noted that the Olubadan’s reign is a beacon of tradition blended with modern insight.

> “We, the younger generation of traditional family heads, draw strength from Kabiyesi’s example. His peaceful leadership reinforces the need for harmony and respect in our communal and cultural affairs,” he added.

Oba Olakulehin, who ascended the throne in 2024, has remained a stabilizing force in Ibadan, guiding the city with maturity and wisdom in a rapidly changing world.

Mogaji Olasupo concluded his message with prayers for long life, sound health, and divine protection for the Olubadan as he continues to lead Ibadan with dignity and purpose.
