IBADAN NORTH-EAST LG HELMSMAN, HON. IBRAHIM AKINTAYO EMPOWERS MARKET WOMEN, WIDOWS AND STUDENTS.
In a bid to ameliorate the suffering of the people of lbadan North East Local Government, the executive Governor of Oyo state Engr. Oluseyi Makinde in conjunction with the executive chairman of Ibadan North East LG, Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo has rolled out over ten million naira to about 200 people majorly market women, windows and students. These beneficiaries spread across the 12 political wards of the Local Government.
Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo while addressing the people, advised beneficiaries to endeavor to multiply whatever amount is given to them in order to better their lots economically citing the example of His Excellency Engr oluseyi Makinde who started his business with a small amount of money and now having a chain of business / conglomerate.
Mrs. Folasade odekanmi, the Director of education and social services in her lectures taught all beneficiaries present on how to start a small business with a meager amount and be successful. She appealed for judicious use of the empowerment fund given to them (participants), thus commended the Governor for this great move to reduce to the bearest minimum, the poverty level in our state.
The PDP chairman in the LGA, Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun Abuye used the avenue to encourage people to come out on Saturday the 11th of March,2023 and vote for the party (PDP) that had brought positive changes into the state and their lives respectively.
Mrs. Tiamiyu kafayat, One of the beneficiaries of the programme appreciated the state Governor for this laudable event and for being a Governor that has the love of his people at heart. She spoke on behalf of others that they would all reciprocate the Governor's kind gesture by given him their votes.
Among those present at the occasion were the likes of baba-loja of the LG, chief Ibrahim Balogun, Mrs Oluwakemi Akala Laaro, the iyaloja of the same LG, the legislative members of the council, supervisory councilors , special Advisers, many PDP faithful. Others at the venue of the event were career officers led by Mrs. Olabode R. A, the head of Local
Government administration in the Local Government AREA.
