IBADAN NORTH EAST LG BOSS COMMISSIONED A BLOCK OF SIX TOILET WITH PORTABLE WATER.
It was a great celebration that attracted so much attention in excitement, joy, love and togetherness at the mid section of Basorun market in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state during the commissioning of a block of six toilet with a borehole having 2 over-head water tanks, one elepaq electricity generating set and solar security light.
The modern toilet/building was constructed through the help of "National Directorate of Employment (NDE) community development scheme (CDS) for the benefit of the entire market men and women and the community where the market was situated.
Present at the occasion were political functionaries led by Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo, the executive chairman of lbadan North East LG, career officers present were fronted by Mrs. R. A Olabode, the Head of Local Government administration of the same council, while the NDE team leader also floated her officials in, making the occasion lively.
Other dignitaries include the " iya-loja and baba-loja of the market (Alhaja silifat Iyaniwura and chief Ibrahim Balogun respectively)" who led other executive members of the market to grace the occasion.
Moreover, chief Balogun while addressing the people appreciated the NDE officials and Hon. Akintayo for the opportunity given to them in respect of this laudable project which would be of immense benefits to the people ein the market and those patronizing it, noting that this project would be one huge legacy in the history of the market
In his words, Hon. Ibrahim Akinsola Akintayo applauded NDE and the government of the day for this great project. He gave details of how the project was brought into the market; thus, urged the people to make use of the toilet and put up good maintenance culture in order to serve the purpose to which it was designed.
Mrs olayemi T. O., the Director and leader of the NDE team appreciated the council boss for the opportunity given to them to put such project within the LG. She further explained the rationale behind the project and all efforts that made it a reality. She appealed to the people of the market to give the project an adequate and better maintenance while putting it into use in the market.
The occasion was climaxed with the cutting of the commissioning tape/ ribbon by the executive chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo.
