Oyo Central PDP Hails Former Deputy Speaker Jelili Adeleke as DG for Olunloyo Campaign
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo Central Senatorial District has described the appointment of former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jelili Adeleke, as Director-General for its senatorial candidate, Engr. Ayobami Akinyode Olunloyo, as well deserved.
In a statement jointly signed by the Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Adegbola Adewusi, and the Secretary, Hon. Idris Ayinla, on Monday, the party said Adeleke's appointment was a step in the right direction.
Adewusi described Adeleke as an experienced legislator, a loyal party man and a grassroots mobiliser whose competence and political pedigree remain unquestionable.
He said Adeleke's deep understanding of Oyo Central politics and his commitment to PDP ideals make him best suited for the role as the party consolidates its structure across the 11 local government areas.
"Your appointment as Senatorial Director-General for our candidate, Engr. Ayobami Akinyode Olunloyo, is well deserved. You have consistently shown capacity, loyalty and dedication to our great party. We are confident you will deploy your wealth of experience to strengthen our structure, unite members and deliver victory for Olunloyo and the PDP in Oyo Central," he said.
The party expressed confidence that Adeleke would bring his legislative experience and mobilisation skills to coordinate an effective and people-oriented campaign.
It wished him a successful tenure and prayed for wisdom to lead the party to victory in the 2027 general elections.
