APM candidate presents leadership credentials and development priorities for Constituency 02

IBADAN, OYO STATE – November 2, 2026

With 96 days to the February 6, 2027, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, Hon. Abdulrazaq Abiola Akinloye, the Allied People's Movement (APM) candidate for Ibadan North East Constituency 02, has presented his credentials and vision for a greater constituency.

Akinloye said his closeness to the grassroots and understanding of the everyday challenges facing residents, traders, artisans, youths and women across the constituency had shaped his decision to seek the mandate to represent them at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

He maintained that effective representation should go beyond occupying public office, stressing that the true measure of leadership lies in its visible impact on the lives and welfare of the people.

"The people of Ibadan North East Constituency 02 deserve a representative who is accessible, honest and committed to their welfare. I am offering myself for service, and if given the mandate, I will be their voice at the House of Assembly and a partner in the development of every community," Akinloye said.

Outlining his vision for the constituency, the APM candidate identified people-centred legislation, quality and affordable healthcare, education and skills development, security of lives and property, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, as well as support for small traders and artisans as key areas of priority.

He further emphasised that transparency and accountability would guide his conduct if elected, while expressing appreciation to the leaders and members of the APM for the confidence reposed in him. He also pledged to work closely with other party candidates at different levels to promote good governance in Ibadan North East and Oyo State.

As the countdown to the 2027 polls continues, Akinloye urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), participate peacefully in the electoral process on February 6, 2027, and support APM candidates across the ballot.

He described the forthcoming election as an important decision that would shape the future of the constituency and the state for years to come.
