"LET NOVEMBER BRING US PEACE AND PURPOSE": OMUYES GREETS IBADAN NORTH EAST, PRAYS FOR NIGERIA, CHARGES VOTERS TO TURN OUT FOR APM

Ibadan, Oyo State – 1 November 2026.

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Engr. Ibrahim Akintayo (OMUYES), has welcomed the month of November with a message of prayer, gratitude and a firm call to civic duty. As Director-General of the APM presidential and governorship campaign in the local government, he asked residents to make the new month count for their families, their communities and the ballot box.

"We give God the glory for letting us see November, because many who started the year with us are no longer here. I pray that God will make this month a turning point for every household in Ibadan North East, from our market women and artisans to our students, drivers, civil servants and young entrepreneurs. May He bless what our hands find to do and keep our streets and homes safe," he said.

Hon. Akintayo said the people of the local government remain the heart of his service, and asked them to keep living as good neighbours who share, forgive and look out for one another. He prayed that no family in the area would face a loss or a burden it could not bear this month, and that God would reward every honest effort with progress.

Turning to the nation, he asked God to heal the wounds of Nigeria and to bring calm to places troubled by insecurity and hardship. "May God watch over this country and give us leaders who see the people's pain as their own. May He strengthen our unity, restore hope in every community, and lead Nigeria into a season of peace and genuine progress. Amin," he said.

On the 2027 elections, Hon. Akintayo told residents that prayer must go together with participation. He reminded them that INEC has fixed Saturday, 16 January 2027 for the presidential and National Assembly elections, and Saturday, 6 February 2027 for the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.

"Prayer is not a substitute for the vote.
Check your registration, collect your PVC if you have not, and be at your polling unit on both days. I am calling on the people of Ibadan North East and all Oyo State voters to stand with the APM in January and February.
Come out peacefully, vote with your conscience, stay at your unit and do not sell your future for a few naira," he said.

He ended by wishing the people a month of good health, peace and favour.
