Ibadan, Oyo State – 1 November 2026

Hon. Adewale Adeshina Excel, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has congratulated the good people of Oyo State on the dawn of a new month, November 2026, praying that the month brings peace, good health, prosperity and divine favour to every home.

In a goodwill message, Hon. Excel gave thanks to Almighty God for sparing the lives of the people to witness another month, and urged residents to approach it with gratitude, hope and renewed commitment to one another.

"I thank Almighty God for the grace of seeing the month of November. I pray that Allah/God, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, will make this month a month of joy, good health, progress and answered prayers for the people of Oyo State. May every labour of our farmers, traders, artisans, civil servants, professionals, students and the youth be rewarded with success.

May He keep our land in peace, protect our children, and grant our elders long life and sound health," he said.
He prayed that the new month would open doors of opportunity for the people, wipe away tears of hardship, and replace every anxiety with comfort and hope.

"May this month bring us good tidings, unity among our people, and leaders who will serve with the fear of God, compassion and integrity. May the Almighty guide us all to do what is right, and may He bless Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria at large," he added.

Hon. Excel also prayed for Nigeria, asking Almighty God to continue to guide and protect the nation.
"I pray that God, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, will heal our land and grant Nigeria lasting peace, unity and stability.
May He comfort every family that has known loss, hardship or insecurity, and may He open the doors of progress for our people, from the North to the South and from the East to the West. May the Almighty grant our leaders wisdom, honesty and compassion, and may He turn the challenges of our country into testimonies of greatness," he said.

As the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections, Hon. Excel urged the electorate in the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Oyo State and across Nigeria to come out in their numbers and vote for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, 16 January 2027 for the presidential and National Assembly elections, and Saturday, 6 February 2027 for the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.

"Your Permanent Voter's Card is your power. I urge every eligible voter to make sure they are registered, hold a valid PVC, and turn out peacefully on both dates to vote for the NDC. This is the time to choose leadership that will put the welfare of the people first, with real representation for our constituency, opportunities for our youth and a more accountable government. Vote wisely, protect your vote, and shun violence and vote-buying," he said.
Hon. Excel further called on residents to continue to live in love, look out for the vulnerable among them, and remain prayerful and law-abiding as the year draws to a close.

He wished all residents a blessed, healthy and fruitful month ahead.
