Prominent political figure and stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, has extended warm congratulations to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, and the newly elected members of the PDP National Executive Committee, following the successful conclusion of the party’s National Convention.

In a statement released on Monday, Otunba Opatoki praised Governor Makinde for his “strategic foresight, courageous leadership, and unwavering dedication to the unity and survival of the PDP in these critical times.” He commended the governor for steering the party through turbulent political currents and ensuring that it emerges stronger, more united, and better positioned for future electoral contests.

“Governor Makinde has once again demonstrated exceptional capacity as a stabilizing force within our party,” Opatoki said. “His steadfastness and commitment have continued to inspire confidence, not only in Oyo State but across the entire nation.”

Otunba Opatoki also congratulated Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his election as the National Secretary of the PDP. He described Arapaja as a loyal party man whose long-standing contributions to the PDP make him a credible asset at the national level. He expressed optimism that Arapaja’s leadership would further strengthen internal cohesion and drive the party’s progressive agenda.

Furthermore, he extended his felicitations to all newly elected members of the PDP National Executive, noting that their emergence reflects the party’s renewed determination to rebuild, foster unity, and prepare vigorously for the 2027 general elections.
