Hon Akintayo Installed as Aare Akeweje Adinni of Oyo State By Chief Imam of Ibadanland.
Yesterday, 28th of August, 2022, The chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo state, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Ganiyy Abubakry Agbotomokekere in conjunction with the league of Imams and Alfas of Oyo state presented the staff of office and turbaned the executive chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo as the Aare Akeweje Adinni of Oyo state.
The colourful ceremony which came up at Ibadan Central Mosque, Oja'ba in recognition of Hon Ibrahim Akintayo's numerous contributions to the development and growth of Islam in Ibadanland and Oyo state at large.
Lecture was delivered by the chief Imam of Saki East Local Government, Agoamodu Alhaji Abdul-Lateef Alamalyekeen, the Chief Imam of Saki West local government said every soul shall be asked on the state he meets Islam, his contribution towards Islam and the position he leaves Islam.
"The new Aare Akeweje Adini shouldn't derail from contributing to the way of Allah and increase his piety towards Allah both openly and secretly as individual will account for his/her deeds on the day of reckoning" Sheikh Abdul-Lateef concluded.
In his remark, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland Sheikh Abdul Ganiyy Agbotomokekere extolled the good virtues of Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo and described his deeds as an indelible mark in sand of time with the renovation of Ibadan Eid ground, Agodi embarked upon by his administration to give the Eid ground a face lift.
'History will always be kind to you, your gesture towards the Eid praying ground is unique and commendable as nobody has ever embarked on such project on the Eid land, this view was equally shared by the Grand Mufti of Ibadanland.
The ceremony was well attended by who is who in Ibadanland among which is the father of the day, Alhaji Oyelade, the personal assistant to the executive Governor of Oyo state, H.E Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, Federal Honourable representing Ibadan North East, South East Federal Constituency, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin.
